Status Bar

The Status Bar displays information about your simulation in progress.

The yellow bar under the indicator lights indicates how close your simulation is to completion. When the simulation has not been run at all, the bar will be completely gray. When the simulation has finished, the bar will be completely blue.

Indicator Lights

Ready — Indicates Vericut Status.

  • Red — indicates that VO is "Busy" processing.

  • Yellow — indicates that VO is "Paused" in the middle of a block or cycle.

  • Green — indicates that VO is "Ready" for user commands.

Optimize — Indicates Optimization status.

  • Green — indicates Optimization is "On".

  • Yellow — indicates Optimization is in "Learn Mode".

  • Black/White — indicates that Optimization is "Off".

Motion — indicates the status of motion simulation.

  • Red — indicates that the motion is set to Rapid.

  • Green — indicates that the motion is set to Feed.

  • Black/White — indicates that the motion is set to Other.

💡 Tip: Place the cursor over any of the Status Lights to see a summary of its function and conditions.

Optimize Controls

These buttons are used to control various optimization methods as well as play, pause, and reset the simulation.

Reset — The Reset button is used to start the simulation over from the beginning.

Start Optimizer Analyze — This button is used to activate Analyze NC Program if left-clicked. This turns Optimization "On" and runs through machining process to gauge the forces used in machining. Force calculations are done but no optimized NC program is generated. This enables you to run Force and review the Graphs that are generated to determine appropriate values to use. At end of Optimization, a Graph can be viewed showing the forces that were used and what they were optimized to.

Start Learn From NC Program — This button is used to activate Learn From NC Program if left-clicked. If you right-click on the same button, the Optimize Control window will open on the Learn From NC Program setting, enabling you to set the parameters for how the program should run.

Start Air Cuts — This button is used to activate Air Cuts if left-clicked. If you right-click on the same button, the Optimize Control window will open on the Air Cuts Only setting, enabling you to set the parameters for how the program should run.

Start Optimize — This button is used to activate Optimize if left-clicked. If you right-click on the same button, the Optimize Control window will open on the Optimize setting, enabling you to set the parameters for how the program should run. Use this button to start simulation.

Play/Pause — After selection of one of the Optimization functions the pause button will be active. Selection of pause will temporarily halt the function and display the cut model. The Pause button will become a Play button and if clicked, will cause the simulation to resume.
